Good features, some shipping delay

I purchased the Wanbo T6 Max and an Adjustable Projector Floor Stand. The projector itself is impressive; the 1080p resolution looks sharp, and the Android TV feature is super convenient for streaming. The floor stand is sturdy and works well. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected, probably around 10 days, but it wasn't a huge issue. Everything arrived in good condition. The only small thing is that I wish there was a clearer tracking update initially. Otherwise, a good purchase.

Decent projector, good support

I ordered a Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro during their anniversary sale. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. It arrived in about a week, which was reasonable. I had a question about connecting it to my soundbar, and customer support was responsive via email, giving me clear instructions. The picture quality is quite good for a home theater setup, and it definitely improved my movie-watching experience. It's compatible with my Android phone, which is a plus. Overall, a positive experience from purchase to use.

Easy to set up

Got the Wanbo T4 a few weeks ago. It was super easy to set up, like, plug it in and go. The picture quality is pretty good for movie nights. Shipping was faster than I thought, maybe 5 days to get to my place. No complaints, just a chill experience.

Good projector for the money

I was looking for a decent projector without spending a ton. I got the Wanbo T2 Free during a flash sale. The price was great, especially with the first-order discount. It felt like a solid deal for what I paid. Happy with the overall value.

Is there usually a first-time buyer discount? Trying to save a few bucks on a Mozart 1.

Definitely sign up for their newsletter, I think that's how I got a code for my first order. Usually pops up after you subscribe.

Anyone know if these Wanbo projectors have Netflix built in? Or do you have to sideload it?

J James 2 months ago
Most of 'em run Android TV, so you can just download Netflix and other apps from the store, pretty much like a phone. Worked fine on my T6 Max.

some models come with it already, but even if not, the Android TV means you can just grab it from the app store. super easy.

Do these projectors work with both iPhones and Android phones for mirroring or casting stuff?

C Cleo 1 month ago
From my experience with the T6 Max, it's generally good with both. Android phones usually connect super easy, and for iPhones, I've used AirPlay without too many hiccups, though sometimes an app is needed for certain content.

Yeah, they're pretty compatible. AirPlay for iPhones and usually Miracast or similar for Androids. Should be fine.

Are there any student discounts for Wanbo projectors? College budget, you know how it is.

S Sophie V. 1 month ago
I haven't seen a specific student discount code for Wanbo, but they do run sales pretty often. Keep an eye out during back-to-school or holiday times, might get lucky.

not that I know of directly, but signing up for the newsletter might give you a first-time discount, that's something at least.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a T2 Max. How long does shipping usually take to, say, California?

G Gwen 2 months ago
Mine got to Texas in about a week and a half. Was pretty quick actually, didn't expect it.

yeah, mine was like 8-10 days to the west coast, not bad at all.

What's the deal with returns? If I don't like it, is it a huge hassle?

O Omar 1 month ago
I returned a P5 once because I wanted a brighter model. Process was pretty straightforward, just follow their instructions on the site. Got my money back without issues.

A Andre 1 month ago
Nah, it's fine. Just make sure you do it within the return window. They have a policy listed on their site for how long you have.

Can you actually use these during the day, or are they strictly for dark rooms?

M Mark N. 1 month ago
Depends on the model and how much light. My T6 Max is okay in a dim room during the day, but for proper daylight viewing, you'd need a really dark room or one of their super bright ones, maybe the Mozart. Definitely not like a TV.

C Carly 1 month ago
Nah, most projectors struggle in daylight. You'll need curtains or a dark room for a good picture, even with a decent Wanbo.

How do Wanbo projectors stack up against something like an Anker Nebula? Looking at the T4 vs maybe a Capsule.

C Carly 1 month ago
I've heard Wanbo is pretty good for the price, especially their higher-end models can compete. Anker sometimes has better battery life or more polished software, but Wanbo often wins on brightness or resolution for the same money, depends on the specific model you're comparing.
4
R Ryan 1 month ago
Anker's usually a bit more premium feeling, but Wanbo often gives you more bang for your buck in terms of specs like resolution or lumens. Just gotta compare the exact models you're eyeing.
